My Secrets to Clear, Consistent Intuition (Buddhism and Emptiness and God, oh my!)

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening, wherever you are. I hope you are enjoying your day and the many blessings of life that are ceaselessly seeking to enter your life and bless you!

I have a topic to discuss with you today-- one of the biggest keys to intuition that I would like to give to you, just because I like to share with you.

One of the first things that people come to me for in 1:1 classes is, how do I use my gifts? I know that I have them, but how do I get good at it? What are the steps that I need to take to make this work consistently?

As such, many of my students and lovely people who sit in readings with me have had affirming intuitive experiences-- visions, premonitions, dreams, sensations, that were confirmed true in some way.

The first step in my perception is to remove the idea that one needs to effort to make intuition happen.

I see intuition, spiritual gifts, and the blessings of Creator the way I see music flow through a flute.

For a flute to be able to sing, the flute needs to be clear, in that if there are lots of dust, lint, if it is water-logged, muddied, or even has an old rag stuffed into it, the music you play through it is not going to be clear or consistent.

Sure, you are able to possibly play something that sounds close to music, but a flute is best played when it is a clear, hollow channel.

This is the same way that you work-- liken yourself to the flute, and liken the obstructions inside the flute to our emotions, our preconceived notions about who we think something or someone is, and our ignorance in judgement, or opinions based on past experiences in our lives.

Like yourself, even if you are not yet realized in clear intuition, you are still no less capable than me or the next person-- you are still a flute.

See what I mean?

When one goes into a reading, the first thing that needs to happen is allowance.

I have had many readings both with complete strangers, and also people who I would consider myself to be close to or know very well.

However, what I believe myself to know about someone is not what I am asked to bring to a session-- before each session, I spend time emptying myself of what I believe a certain person to be, and even if they choose to share some part of an experience they have had or are working through, I can only consider the energy. And, to be fair, sometimes people describe themselves or their feelings and do not even realize who they are or what they are feeling with clarity yet-- hence why words are a little less important than energy in this case.

So let me share some things with you that I have been narrowing down, sort of. I get a little wordy, all the time, haha.

1. Understand that my own experiences may be hindrance when it comes to offering a reading.

What I personally believe about someone is not pertinent, nor is it an accurate gauge for what the energy will reveal about a person. Every person that you meet is incredibly unique and carries immense amounts of experiences and data within themselves that you cannot even begin to touch until you meet them through their energy.

My insecurities, doubts, and daily life processes are not part of this-- however, I must be aware that as I approach the time of a reading, the client's energy body is sort of overlaying mine, so I can be mindful that things that pass through me are more often than not directly related to the person I am about to read. For example, even a simple action such as suddenly choosing to brew a cup of coffee (despite me drinking coffee rarely) is often meaningful and if I do that 5 minutes before a session, it's something I need to bring up-- it could be significant to the client.

1a. Empty my thoughts.

This comes with meditation, and prayer, and neither are only to be conducted before a session-- I do pray and meditate before each and every session, however they are both intertwined in my life and they are tools that I utilize on a daily basis. The foundation of my life has become, empty thyself. Form without form. Being without being. Realize the innate emptiness within all things.

2. Understand that what may come through from spirit may even be so far away from my belief system that I am required to be completely open to the rainbow of knowledge, vision, and information that passes through me.

This is especially important when working with people outside of one's own culture-- what I believe is not a filter this information must pass through.

It is only what is important and clarifying to the client which is allowed to pass through a gate of necessary or not.

An example-- I sit with people in Readings around the world who may come from a number of religions, cultures, and experiences. When I am sitting with someone who is Celtic Pagan or raised Lakota or Hindu, I must understand and recognize that the things that come through may not be familiar to me, but they are meant to make sense to the client--- not me. Whether I am seeing beings or rituals or messages that I don't understand, I just pass it along.

Which is why I have also learned not to place any limitations on information that I receive, because it is not my place to say if it's "strange" or doesn't make sense to me. All peoples are welcome and it is my job to respect and make space for them.

3. Cultivate compassion.

There is no way to do a reading for a person without a true desire to feel compassion for the person at hand. Compassion comes from the desire to understand and respect one another. Compassion comes through to me as "I see myself in you"-- and therefore the more I learn to care for and love myself, because I see myself in you, I cultivate the path to stepping into your shoes and offering you reflections from kindness, even if they are coming through in what we could call psychic or mediumship abilities.

You cannot go into a reading and attempt to filter who you will speak with-- it would be useless to say "I do not want to have a reading with a Democrat/cat owner/BMW owner/(insert other completely inane thing people judge one another for)", because who are you to say that they are not a human being with deep feelings too? Who am I to say that I perceive someone so differently that I cannot relate to them? We are all human beings-- we all innately strive to do our best each day, even though it passes through the many gates of our opinions and experiences, and even if it looks very different from the outside.

There is no way to offer an accurate reading to someone without feeling compassion for them. Many times in readings, too, I process emotional and physical purges with the client as we work together. I have had readings where I felt myself get very hot, very cold, I have cried profusely (happens frequently), and even vomited (only happened once, which, I guess is quite nice, haha) during a client's emotional process. Without compassion, there would be no way for me to actually experience the client's energy with them and help guide them in affirmation, release, and realization of healing.

Compassion comes only through love and love only comes through the divine mystery I call Creator. As I cultivate my belief in this Creator, I open my eyes to the rainbow of human experiences and lenses and perceptions. I also understand that I will never know everything about everything, so I best step out of the way for it.

3a. When I begin meditating before a reading, I cultivate this compassion, for no matter who it is, I introduce myself to them in the ways my ancestors have taught me,

and I say out loud, "Hello, name, it is so wonderful to meet you. You feel like a very old friend to me. It is nice to meet you again through the web of samasara"-- because it's true-- we have all known each other at one point or another, as through the process of reincarnation, each of us has met one another, known one another. We are all familiar with one another's energy-- it's just about how much you want to realize this. And, again-- we are all interconnected in this beautiful web we call life made by our Creator. We are inseparable from one another. It is only fate that we will each come to realize our infinite, intimate connection to one another.

4. Call on my highest power-- to me, that is nothing except Creator.

I can spent 10,000 years trying to describe to you what exactly Creator is, but I will keep it simple-- Creator to me is the very breath of life that weaves this beautiful world together. Creator is not a being in the sky to me-- Creator is the very reason why I have a spiritual gift, and why so many do. Creator is the reason we feel love, compassion, clarity, and healing. And while Creator looks different to many people, I have found that through the many people of different belief systems which I have met have all been able to connect together in one way-- we all know Creator in some way or another if we allow ourselves to realize it. Calling on Creator to guide and clarify my voice is the best way that I can honor myself and anyone. Creator tunes my voice and mind to where I need to be to offer my gift. It is Creator itself who gave me this gift. So I call on Creator as that is the only one who can clarify me to use this gift.

And as a last thought-- I did mention that I cannot pull any beliefs into my readings, so how do I navigate that while also believing in Creator and also what many call God?

It is only through this way that I have found the words I speak in these sessions to become clarified, more easily understood, and more deeply impactful to my clients. I have received confirmation in my own life countless times that it is this breath of life-- Creator-- who clarifies and hones my vision, voice, ears, touch, smell, and taste. It is Creator who flows through that flute as beautiful music, even though we call Creator many different ways. But I am also welcome to seeing others' highest power as other things, with different names and identifications-- for me, though, I feel they all come from the same place.

It has been a process of realizing that universal truth within myself, and also understanding that many experience Creator in many ways-- I would even consider some Atheists to be some of the most deeply understanding of God.

Calling on Creator is my way of expressing, I honor you. And I call on my highest power of clarity and love for this space.

Anyways, I hope this was an enjoyable read to you and that it helped you to maybe clarify some questions you had about your own life and intuition.

With love, blessings, prayers, and kindness,

Lak'weh Anastasia
